102.5mm Mannok insulated plasterboard, 2438 x 1200mm (8ft x 4ft) – a thermal board made from 90mm of rigid PIR insulation bonded to 12.5mm plasterboard, so you insulate and dry-line a wall in one go.

FAQs

How do I fix insulated plasterboard?
On even, dry masonry walls, fix it with dot-and-dab drylining adhesive and 2 secondary mechanical fixings at mid-height. Alternatively, fix it to timber battens. Follow Mannok's installation guidance.

How many boards do I need?
Each board covers 2.93 m² (2.438 x 1.2m). Divide your wall area by the board coverage and round up, allowing extra for cuts around openings.

Which thickness do I need?
That depends on your wall build-up and target U-value. Thicker boards give better insulation. As a guide, Mannok quotes a U-value of about 0.21 W/m²K for 102.5mm board dot-and-dabbed onto a 215mm dense block wall. Mannok's U-value calculator and technical support can confirm the right board for Irish Building Regulations.
