For fast, consistent board fixing with a screw gun – Dynamite Hardware 3.5 x 50mm collated drywall screws, self-drilling, zinc plated, in a box of 1000 (20 strips of 50). The self-drilling point cuts its own hole in heavier-gauge steel up to 2mm, so there's no pre-drilling on commercial metal-frame work. At 50mm it's typically used for up to thick insulated plasterboard – always check the board manufacturer's fixing guidance.
