Pre-assembled 6 x 60mm nylon hammer fixings with a countersunk zinc-plated screw, in a trade box of 200. Drill through the fixture into the wall, tap the fixing in with a hammer and finish with a couple of turns of the screwdriver – the quickest way to fix battens, skirting and light frames to masonry.
The nylon sleeve expands as it’s driven home for a secure hold in concrete, brick and block, and the screw can be backed out later if the job needs to come apart. Maximum fixture thickness at this size is 35mm.

FAQs
What size drill bit do I need for 6 x 60mm hammer fixings?
Use a 6mm masonry bit and drill through the fixture into the wall. Make the hole at least as deep as the plug (60mm) plus a little extra so dust doesn’t stop the fixing seating fully.
What does maximum fixture thickness mean?
It’s the thickest item you can fix through and still get full plug embedment in the wall. For this size it’s 35mm – for a thicker frame or batten, step up to a longer fixing.
Hammer fixing or frame fixing – which do I need?
Hammer fixings are the quick option for battens, skirting and light fixtures. For heavier frames and linings, choose frame fixings with a stronger, fully driven screw.
Can I use them outside?
The zinc-plated screw is rated for clean, dry, low-humidity conditions (corrosion rating 1), so they’re intended for internal use. For external or damp locations use a stainless steel fixing.
