31.5mm self-drilling metal speed plugs with screws, zinc plated, in a box of 100. Designed for quick light-duty fixing of fittings, brackets and accessories to plasterboard, giving a much stronger hold than plastic plugs in hollow materials.

A rapid light duty plasterboard fixing for use in a wide range of applications. Cross recess head, allows simple installation with a pozi or cross drive screwdriver. Comes complete with screws.

FAQs

Which cavity fixing should I use?

Metal cavity anchors give the best all-round hold in plasterboard; spring toggles suit thicker boards and ceilings with a deep cavity; speed plugs and hammer-in fixings are fastest for light loads. Ceiling anchors are for suspending from concrete.

What board thickness do they suit?

They suit standard 12.5mm and 15mm plasterboard.

Can I use plastic plugs in plasterboard instead?

No – plastic plugs are for solid walls. Hollow walls need a cavity fixing that spreads the load behind the board. See also our wall plugs for solid walls.
