Frequently Asked Questions

Can I paint over this silicone?

No – it is not paintable. If you need to paint the joint, use a decorators caulk instead.

Is it suitable for natural stone?

No. Acetoxy silicones can stain marble, granite and other natural stone; use a neutral-cure silicone there.

How long before it can get wet?

It skins in about 20 minutes and cures at roughly 2 mm per 24 hours, so allow at least 24 hours before heavy water contact on a standard bead.

Will it work on PVC or concrete?

The manufacturer advises it is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, PVC, concrete or bitumen – do a test first or choose a neutral-cure sealant.
