Black or white – which should I use?
Go black for anything outdoors or in sunlight: black cable ties are UV-protected and hold up far longer outside. Natural white ties are ideal indoors, in consumer units and anywhere you want a neat, light finish.

How big a bundle will a 300mm tie go around?
A 4.8 x 300mm cable tie will close around a bundle of up to 83mm in diameter (typical figure for this size). For bigger bundles, step up to a longer tie.

How strong are they?
4.8mm-wide nylon cable ties typically have a loop tensile strength of 22kg (50lb). For heavier loads go wider – our heavy-duty 7.8mm and 9.0mm ties are built for it.
