27.5mm Mannok insulated plasterboard, 2438 x 1200mm (8ft x 4ft) – a slim thermal board made from rigid PIR insulation bonded to 9.5mm tapered-edge plasterboard, so you insulate and dry-line a wall in one go while losing as little room space as possible.
Key specifications
- Nominal thickness: 27.5mm (PIR insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard)
- Board size: 2438 x 1200mm (8ft x 4ft)
- Coverage: 2.93 m² per board
- Board type: fibre-free PIR (polyisocyanurate) insulation laminated to 9.5mm tapered-edge plasterboard
- Thermal conductivity of PIR core (λ): 0.022 W/mK
- Reaction to fire: Euroclass B-s1,d0 (bonded to plasterboard, per Mannok's Declaration of Performance)
- Compressive strength: >150 kPa
- Certification: BBA certificate 07/4444, IAB certificate 05/0223
Uses
- Internal dry-lining of solid masonry and cavity walls, bonded with dot-and-dab adhesive plus secondary mechanical fixings
- Dry-lining onto timber battens
- Upgrading the thermal performance of walls in new builds and retrofit/renovation projects, especially where space is tight – reveals, window and door surrounds, small rooms and hallways
Benefits
- Our thinnest insulated plasterboard: a thermal upgrade with minimal loss of floor area.
- Insulation and internal finish fitted in one operation, which saves time on site.
- High-performance PIR (0.022 W/mK) gives more insulation per mm than traditional materials.
- The plasterboard face gives a ready surface for finishing, and it improves the finish on old, uneven walls.
- Zero ozone depletion potential (ODP), low global warming potential (GWP) and an A+ rating against the BRE Green Guide.
FAQs
How do I fix insulated plasterboard?
On even, dry masonry walls, fix it with dot-and-dab drylining adhesive and 2 secondary mechanical fixings at mid-height. Alternatively, fix it to timber battens. Follow Mannok's installation guidance.
How many boards do I need?
Each board covers 2.93 m² (2.438 x 1.2m). Divide your wall area by the board coverage and round up, allowing extra for cuts around openings.
Which thickness do I need?
That depends on your wall build-up and target U-value. 27.5mm is ideal where space is limited; for a bigger thermal improvement choose a thicker board such as 37.5mm, 50mm or 62.5mm. Mannok's U-value calculator and technical support can confirm the right board for Irish Building Regulations.
Is the price per board?
Yes, the price is for one 27.5mm 2438 x 1200mm sheet, including VAT.
Do you deliver?
